If you've heard of Susan Jeske you would know that she was crowned Ms America in 1997. Since then she has spent over 20 years as a beauty consultant working for a major cosmetics company. But now she spends her time on speaking engagements warning us of the dangers of personal products such as cosmetics and skin care products in promoting the benefits of natural skin products and natural cosmetics. What happened to Susan?

Susan had some serious skin and health problems a few years ago. In desperation she turned to a holistic doctor who told her about the dangerous chemical ingredients used in cosmetics and skin care products and suggested she discontinued their use. She did discontinue their use and within 2 weeks the health and skin problems were gone. As a result she began to research more about the ingredients which go into modern cosmetics and skin care products.

It must have come as a shock to someone who had spent a good deal of her life promoting cosmetics and modern beauty products to discover that so many of these products were laced with chemical ingredients, many of which are banned in Europe, some of which are known to cause cancer, and some of which were causing her own health problems. But Susan spent some time researching this and was horrified by what she found.

As a result Susan Jeske left her job with the cosmetics company and now speaks around the country warning of the dangers of modern mainstream cosmetics and personal products such as skin care products and others.

And Susan has even drawn up a list of the 12 most toxic chemicals found in so many of our personal care products. And she urges consumers to look on the label of products to see if any of these 12 toxic chemicals are in them.

There are many people, myself included on my website, that have been warning of the dangerous ingredients used in personal, beauty, skin care and other products for many years. These include a range of nasty chemicals and petrochemicals, and the FDA is not required to control this and does not do so. Therefore the problem gets worse.

Most of these chemical ingredients are used because they are extremely cheap and by using them the companies can dramatically increase their profit margins.

Sadly there are many excellent natural skincare products and natural cosmetics containing ingredients known to be highly effective and perfectly safe to use however these ingredients are much more expensive than chemical alternatives and so are not used in mainstream skin care products and cosmetics.

It's perfectly possible to buy high quality natural skin care products and high quality natural cosmetics right now. Small niche companies see an opportunity in manufacturing these products and marketing them to consumers who are aware of the risks with big brand skin care and cosmetics products.
