Meditation guided sessions are a fantastic way for you to work on achieving your goals, and for many people, that goal could be to take off those extra pounds. While guided meditation will not provide you miraculous weight loss, continuing or implementing a regular meditation schedule will help you build up your will power and behaviors that will assist you in dropping some excess weight.
The first thing you will need to do is to assess what behaviors lead you to gaining the weight in the first place so that you can focus on correcting these through meditation guided activity. The more specific you can be, the better. For example: If you want to eat fewer fried foods, you would make a note of that. You can also note calorie counts you aspire towards and other habits you would like to improve. Again, specificity is key. Saying you want to exercise more is one thing, but defining how much more is bound to help you succeed faster. An example of this would be to identify a set amount of time for daily exercise.
When you perform your regular meditation guided routine, try visualizing yourself with the weight gone. Picture yourself as the healthier person you will become as you work through a visualization portion of your guided meditation practice. You can even imagine how much better you feel, both physically and mentally. Being able to actually see the results of what you are working towards can be remarkably helpful with your will power. Diets can be tricky to navigate and control, but with visual inspiration you will be much more likely to stay the course.
If your meditation guided session includes a portion for affirmations, you can reassure yourself that you will be successful in this endeavor. You can tell yourself something as vague as "I will benefit from this," and you can also be more specific. You may just visualize yourself looking a certain way and keeping that image fixed in your mind during the meditation and even afterwards.
Go through all of the habits and behaviors you want to change and tell yourself that you will, in time, change every single one of them. As you continue to meditate and lose weight, you will likely notice an automatic correction in some of these behaviors, whereas some will take more concentration. Continuing to visualize and provide affirmations that are more topical to your weight loss process will provide for more a more personalized program for you as well as giving you a more fulfilling sense of your ability to be meditation guided.
