How important is your child's education? Do you think it's a good idea for just one person to oversee all your child's educational programs and classes at school? Absolutely not!
You expect and deserve teachers, a principal, and a school board to play a number of different roles in educating your child to the fullest of their abilities. What you've actually come to expect out of your school corporation is a system that relies heavily on the mastermind principle.
The principal runs your child's school, and the teachers take care of actually educating your child. In addition to that, each of these people will have their own support system.
The school board acts as a legislative body, and this group of people is responsible for decisions like policies and major student discipline. School board members work together to figure out what kinds of policies are best for students in their school system. The board may decide to implement random drug testing, end smoking on campus, or change how the grading system works.
Education is a tough job and no one could handle all the aspects on their own. It's just too overwhelming, especially when you remember that the educations of hundreds or thousands of students lay on your shoulders. It takes teamwork and co-operation.
You also can't expect just one person to know everything about what's best for an entire school system. Better decisions will be made when a group of people come together to discuss current situations and where the school system should be heading today. And that's what mastermind is all about!
This is a valuable process you can use to get maximum returns from your education experiences. Your mastermind group should function just like a school board. While you're the only one living your life, you can make better decisions by talking about your life with others and asking for feedback.
When others share their experiences, combining them with your own, you can better see where you are now and where you should be heading. You can only base your decisions on the experiences you've had yourself, until you bring up your situation to your mastermind group. Each member of your team has knowledge to share with you.
You shouldn't feel like you have to have all the ideas to keep your life or your company running strong. When you form a mastermind group, you should select people you trust who are on the same path as you. By 'same path' I mean the road to success, not the same business.
You will benefit even more if you choose people from all different walks of life. The more differences you have in the people you choose to be in your mastermind group, the larger the pool of resources you'll have to draw from.
Everyone can strive for success in life, but not everyone will get there the same way, and success doesn't mean the same thing for everyone. If it did, then the world would be nothing but a big competition and very few people would be able to succeed. While there can only be one winner per contest, where there are many contests, there can be many winners, just like in life.
Your mastermind group should also focus on how each member can win in his or her life right now and in the future. Each of you can help the other group members win. You can rejoice in each others wins and look for solutions to each others setbacks.
Mastermind is all about coming together to think about what's best. But it's more than that too. Don't forget to assign yourself homework, and make sure you follow through with that homework so you'll meet your goals. Your mastermind group members will also help you grade your paper each week. Have you done your homework this week? Will you meet your goals on time?
Yes, choosing to participate in a mastermind success team will give you many tools you can use to gain an excellent education!
