What with the economic downturn and the weakness of the pound, many people are having to downgrade or even cancel their holiday plans, but that doesn't mean that you can't have an enjoyable and memorable break from everyday life.
And one particular activity that has increased in popularity is balloon flights, and it's easy to see why. Can there be any better experience during the British summer than a hot air balloon flight over the beautiful Home Counties, with nothing but blue sky and fluffy white clouds (OK it may be grey and over cast if you're unlucky)?
And while not being a particularly cheap morning out, balloon flights are well worth it simply because it will most certainly be an experience that you will never forget. Aside from floating amongst the clouds, the views on offer will be like nothing you have seen before and being out in the fresh air just adds to the appeal of the experience.
Perhaps one minor plus point that has come from the recession is the fact that UK tourism is on the increase as people are choosing to holiday on their own doorstep due to financial constraints. Another factor is due to the poor currency exchange rate between the British pound and the euro. And camping holidays are particularly more popular than they have been for some time. By incorporating a camping holiday with a balloon flight you will be able to take in the perfect outdoor experience.
What other activity offers you such a memorable experience than a balloon flight? I personally cannot think of many that top the exhilaration and aesthetical beauty of that balloon flights have to offer, particularly on a crisp, blue skied day, with the fresh air filling your lungs and the panoramic views that are on offer nowhere else.
Balloon flights also make a perfect gift for family or friends - we all know how problematic it can be to buy a present that the recipient will actually enjoy. Buying an experience such as a hot air balloon flight as opposed to an actual gift takes away the risk factor - unless of course the recipient has a fear of heights that is.
Better than to see the face drop when opening a dull present, those eyes will smile once they see that they will be heading off for a balloon flight across on the glorious British Home Counties.
